OUR PRIORITIES
Per the announcement from City Council and Buncombe County Commissioners, which states they will pass a mandatory mask mandate for all public, indoor spaces beginning Tuesday, August 17th, we are following suit and are requiring all attendees to wear a mask at this event. Masks must be worn at all times; they can be pulled down or removed briefly only when actively eating or drinking and then they must be replaced.
To ensure the effectiveness of our COVID-19 health and safety protocols, we will be requiring all in-person attendees to provide proof of vaccination.
We value personal choice and body autonomy. We understand that the decision to receive the vaccine is deeply personal and we respect each individual’s decision.
This Policy is not put in place with the intention of discrimination against any group of people. Due to the unpredictable nature of this virus, this and all COVID-related policies are subject to change at any time up until and during the event. If you have a medical exemption and/or a medical doctor’s directive, please reach out to melissa@mountainbizworks.org.
Vaccine verification instructions will be sent to all registered in-person conference attendees.
To minimize risk at the event:
When registering for the event, you must share current contact information. You must also agree to contact Mountain BizWorks immediately if you or anyone in your household shows symptoms or tests positive for COVID-19 within two days of the event.
Individuals (including staff and attendees) should not attend this event if they—or anyone in their household—are displaying any of the following symptoms:
- Fever (100.4F or higher)
- Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Diarrhea
- Chills
- Repeated shaking with chills
- Muscle pain
- Headache
- Sore throat
- New loss of taste or smell
